• Thru November 2009 - FL – GA Game Management Field Update Series 2009 

  Seminars for wild game enthusiasts -- hunters, landowners, habitat managers, game managers, wildlife conservationists: UF/IFAS and UGA Extension are collaborating on a Game Management Series. The registration brochure for the series is attached. Sessions on Fridays:

  May 8 - quail

  Aug 21 - dove & ducks

  Sept 11 - fish ponds

  Sept 25 - deer

  Oct 9 - turkey

  Oct 16 - hunting dog and human first aid

  Nov 6 - food plot soils, weeds & herbicides

  Each session consists of 1.5 hrs of presentations by experts and 1.5 hrs of discussion in the field.  This series will not cover basics. It is for those who have taken one of several Extension Master Wildlifer short courses offered in the region in past years, and/or attended our FL-GA Quail Short Course in 2006, FL-GA Deer & Turkey Short Course in 2007.  Updates will be held at sites in the Thomas-Brooks-Jefferson-Leon county area.
