Sugar In Our Foods Lunch and Learn


According to the Florida Department of Health, in 2004 53.2% of Middle/High school students in Jefferson County are obese. The state average is 28.2%. Therefore healthy eating is a top priority. In our March Lunch and Learn participants will learn how much sugar is found in various foods we eat everyday, a beverages. They will also gain knowledge concerning artificial sweeteners.

The Sugar In Our Foods Lunch and Learn will be held March 18th from 12 noon to 1:00 p.m. at the UF/IFAS Jefferson
County Extension Office at 2729 W. Washington Highway. To register please call the office at (850)324-0187.
